NEW DELHI: Despite the Supreme Court barring them from
BCCI's meetings, some former top officials like N Srinivasan and
Niranjan Shah
- and the state bodies controlled by them, namely TNCA and Saurashtra - continue to defy the
Committee of Administrators
' (CoA) directives aimed at the implementation of the Justice (retd)
RM Lodha Committee
's reforms.
In a bid to bring in transparency in the functioning of the state units, the CoA had written to the BCCI units on August 2 to furnish the list of their general body members to the CoA, and also to put the list up on the state units' websites by August 8. However, Tamil Nadu, Saurashtra, Karnataka, Haryana and Assam have failed to submit the names to the CoA, board sources told TOI on Thursday.

had said on Wednesday that only 10 state bodies had submitted the names of their members. However, another 10 associations submitted the names after the August 8 deadline, making the total to 20.
"The Srinivasan lobby not only continues to defy the CoA but also has a total disregard for the Supreme Court directives. A few association members bypassed their office-bearers to send us the names," a board functionary said.
Sources said that state units which have not accepted any of the
Lodha committee's administrative reforms like Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala and Orissa have submitted the names of their members. Some states units which have two groups, like Jammu and Kashmir, have sent two sets of lists. Even most North-Eastern states like Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Sikkim have given the names of their members.
It was only recently that the CoA had lambasted both Srinivasan and Shah in its fourth status report on how the disqualified officials were stalling the implementation of the apex court's judgment. Based on that, the Supreme Court passed an interim order banning disqualified officials from BCCI's SGM.
