VADODARA: The BCC has kickstarted the process to elect its new secretary and treasurer. On Saturday, the BCCI sent a brief notice informing its members about the Special General Meeting (SGM) on January 12 in its headquarters in Mumbai in which the main agenda is the election of a new secretary and treasurer.

TOI had reported about this development on Dec 21. The need for the Board to elect its new office-bearers came about after previous secretary Jay Shah resigned to assume the role of Independent Chair of the ICC, while treasurer Ashish Shelar quit his post after taking oath as a cabinet minister in the new Maharashtra Government.

After Shah’s exit, BCCI secretary Roger Binny asked jt secretary Devajit Saikia to discharge the functions of the secretary on an interim basis.

Dec 27:Deadline for Members to File Applications to Nominate their Representative.

Dec 29 & 30:Submission of Objections to Names in the Draft Electoral Roll

Jan 2: (i) Examination of Objections and Decisions Thereon (ii) Release of Final Electoral Roll

Jan 3 & 4:Window to File Nomination Application;

Jan 6:Scrutiny Applications and announcement of List of Validly Nominated Candidates;

Jan 7:Withdrawal of Nominations (in Person) and Announcement of List of Candidates

Jan 12: BCCI By-Election' 2024 and declaration of results
