'Bachpan ki yaadein': Rishabh Pant shares nostalgic childhood memory, gets haircut under a tree
Rishabh Pant gave fans a glimpse of his childhood memories with a light-hearted post on Instagram. The Indian wicketkeeper-batter shared a picture of himself getting a haircut under a tree, something he used to do as a kid.
“Bachpan ki yaad aa gyi jab tree ke neeche I use to take haircut toh socha vapas try kru. Aur kitne logo ne at some point tree ke neeche haircut liye hai life mai toh batana jarur memories reheti hai bachpan ki,” Pant wrote, inviting fans to share their own stories.

The post struck a chord. For many, it was a reminder of simpler times when a haircut under a tree was not unusual but a part of growing up. Fans quickly filled his comments with their own nostalgic experiences.
Pant’s moment of reflection comes after a rollercoaster few weeks. During the Manchester Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, he was hit on the foot by a Chris Woakes delivery and forced to retire hurt on 37. He returned the next day, strapped up and in visible pain, to score a brave 54.
That fighting knock summed up Pant’s character, but the injury meant he missed the final Test at the Oval. India went on to win the final test and level the series.
Across the series, Pant was one of India’s standout performers. He scored 479 runs in seven innings, finishing with two centuries and three fifties at an average of 68.42. His aggressive stroke play and resilience left a lasting impact on the contest.
