Abu Dhabi Knight Riders full squad after ILT20 2025 auction

The ILT20 Season 4 player auction in Dubai on October 1, 2025, was full of drama, surprises and record-breaking deals as franchises shaped their squads for the six-team tournament, which will run from December 2, 2025, to January 4, 2026. Among them, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) — who are still chasing their maiden title — made several interesting signings as they look to bounce back from another disappointing season.

Since the league’s inception, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have struggled for consistency. They finished bottom of the table in 2023 and 2025, while their best result came in 2024 when they reached the playoffs. Determined to change their fortunes in 2026, the franchise has built a strong blend of global superstars, experienced campaigners, and exciting new talent.


ADKR’s batting unit promises fireworks this season.

English stars Alex Hales and Liam Livingstone will headline the top order with their explosive strokeplay, while Caribbean power-hitter Andre Russell adds immense firepower in the middle overs. Phil Salt, known for his attacking starts in T20 cricket, and Sherfane Rutherford, another hard-hitter, will offer depth.

The addition of Scotland’s Brandon McMullen (USD 110,000) is a key signing — his all-round ability and recent form have made him one of the most sought-after associate players. Domestic talents like Unmukt Chand and Michael Pepper will provide stability and flexibility to the batting line-up.

The experienced Sunil Narine will continue to be the backbone of ADKR’s spin attack while also contributing as a pinch-hitting opener if required. Pace options include Olly Stone and George Garton, who bring pace and control, while Khary Pierre and Ibrar Ahmed bolster the spin department. Emerging players like Ajay Kumar, Adnan Idrees, and Alishan Sharafu add valuable bench strength.
