3rd T20I: Ben Duckett blasts England to series sweep over West Indies
NEW DELHI: Ben Duckett's explosive 84 off 46 balls propelled England to a dominant 37-run win over the West Indies, completing a 3-0 sweep in the T20I series on Tuesday in Southampton. Duckett, who cracked 10 fours and two sixes, laid the foundation for England's imposing total of 248/3 — their joint-highest T20I score on home soil.

Opening alongside Jamie Smith, Duckett helped pile on 120 runs for the first wicket in just 8.5 overs. Smith smashed 60 from just 26 balls, including four fours and five sixes. The late-innings fireworks were provided by Jacob Bethell (36* off 16) and captain Harry Brook (35*), with Bethell hammering three consecutive sixes off Gudakesh Motie.

England’s white-ball resurgence continued under new captain Brook, who has now overseen six consecutive wins across formats.
“It was a great pitch to bat on,” Duckett said post-match. “I try to keep it simple and play to my strengths.”
Chasing 249, the West Indies lost openers Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles cheaply. Luke Wood (3-31) and Liam Dawson (1-34) did the early damage. Captain Shai Hope fought back with 45, while Rovman Powell launched a valiant counterattack, scoring 79* off 45 balls with nine fours and four sixes.
Despite Powell's efforts, the Windies fell short at 211/8, as England’s disciplined bowling ensured a convincing victory to wrap up a successful limited-overs campaign.
