IND vs NZ Highlights: New Zealand beat India by 21 runs, take 1-0 series lead

New Zealand introduced spin in the second over itself and got the dividend. Shubman Gill (6*) welcomed Michael Bracewell with a four off the first ball, but the spinner clean bowled Ishan Kishan two balls later to give the Kiwis an early breakthrough. A big wicket and five runs off it.

Ishan Kishan guided the last ball towards third man for a four. But it was a good start from pacer Jacob Duffy as he gave away just five runs in it.

Mitchell followed the three sixes with a four to score 27 runs off the pacer in it. A forgettable day for Arshdeep Singh as the pacer returned figures of 1 for 51 in 4 overs.

1 1 4 1 1 W - Excellent penultimate over from Shivam Mavi -- a wicket and just eight runs off it. Mitchell Santner was holed out at deep mid-wicket by Rahul Tripathi.

0 W 0 1 W 1 - Brilliant comeback over from Arshdeep Singh, who conceded 22 runs in his first two overs. Two wickets and two singles at this stage is pure gold. Set batter Devon Conway (52) was holed out at long-off by Deepak Hooda, before Michael Bracewell was run-out off Ishan Kishan's direct hit from behind the stumps.

16 RUNS! 6 1 1 1 1 6 - A big one for the Kiwis. Daryl Mitchell (31* off 20) smoked two sixes off Hardik Pandya to make a big one for New Zealand. Mitchell started the over with a six over long-on and finished off with another maximum straight down the ground off the last delivery.

Washington Sundar completed his spell with another brilliant over. Just six runs off it and no boundaries. He returned figures of 2 for 22 in 4 overs.

India lost a review in it, after asking for a caught behind against Daryl Mitchell (13*). The ball hits the arm before going to the keeper's gloves. Kuldeep Yadav completed his spell with an excellent tidy over, just two singles off it. The spinner returned figures of 1 for 20 in 4 overs.

11 RUNS! 0 0 4 4 2 1 - Shivam Mavi came into the attack and conceded 11 runs in his first over. The pacer started with two dot balls, before Daryl Mitchell (12* off 7) smashed two back-to-back fours to make it a good one for the Kiwis.

A successful over for Kuldeep Yadav -- a wicket and 8 runs off it. The spinner ended Glenn Phillips in the over, with the batter hitting it straight to Suryakumar Yadav at deep midwicket.

10 RUNS! 1 0 4 0 1 4 - Glenn Phillips (16*) hit his first four of the innings off the last ball of the over and also brought up fifty-run stand with Devon Conway (41*). Deepak Hooda leaked 10 runs in it after Conway hitting a four in it too.

Another good one from Kuldeep Yadav, giving away seven runs in it. Devon Conway (36*) kept the scoreboard ticking for the Kiwis and hit a four in it.

Good one from Hardik Pandya. The skipper came back into the attack and gave away just six runs in it.

16 RUNS! 1 4 4 0 6 1 - Umran Malik started his spell with an expensive one as he leaked 16 runs in it. Devon Conway (27* off 14) attacked the pacer and smoked two back-to-back fours and a six in it. A good one for the Kiwis after losing two wickets in one over.

A tidy one from Washington Sundar, just seven runs off it. Devon Conway (12*) hit a four to take New Zealand past the 50-run mark.

Deepak Hooda came into the attack and bowled a tidy one, just four singles in it.

Finn Allen (35) started the over with a six over deep mid-wicket off the first delivery, but the spinner had the last laugh by removing the opener off the very next ball. Allen hit it straight to Suryakumar Yadav at deep mid-wicket. And the new batter Mark Chapman was clueless against the spinner and gave away a caught and bowled chance to the latter off the last ball. Sundar dived full length to his right to complete the stunning catch.

Finn Allen (29*) started the over with a flat six off the first ball, before the pacer recovered a bit to bowl three straight dot balls. Allen got a four off a thick outside edge off the fifth delivery to make it another big one for the Kiwis.

Spinner Washington Sundar came into the attack and bowled a tidy one -- just three runs off it. Sundar surprised everyone by turning the new ball in his first over.
