Despite his innings that anchored the chase, Iyer did not break character as he posted a solemn look on his face even after PBKS crossed the finish line. The 30-year-old was promptly congratulated by his teammates and coach Ricky Ponting, who expressed his delight with a firm embrace, followed by a pat on the shoulder.
Preity Zinta was seen celebrating enthusiastically in the stands alongside co-owner Ness Wadia before making her way to the pitch after the PBKS captain sealed the win with a boundary off the final ball of the penultimate over. Zinta even appeared to wink at Nehal Wadhera, who played a crucial role in the chase with a brisk 48 off 29 balls.
The win sparked jubilation among PBKS fans, with the team reaching their first IPL final since 2014.

Interestingly, Iyer had maintained a serious expression until the PBKS co-owner approached him with a hug. Wadia also joined in the celebrations, congratulating several players on the field.
