NAGPUR: Former batting coach of Afghanistan Umesh Patwal believes that Vidarbha pacers Lalit Yadav and Yash Thakur have the required skillset to become regulars in the IPL circuit.
"I believe both the pacers have developed their game and brought in the required changes that make them stand out. They have been consistent and I feel they should make it to the final squads of any IPL outfit next year," said Patwal while talking to TOI.
Patwal is in the city to train cricketers at Mahi Cricket Academy at Mankapur.

"I invited him as he has been one of my pillars in cricket. He was under-16 coach at VCA Academy and has developed quality Vidarbha cricketer," said Nilesh Bansod, head coach at the Mankapur-basd academy. "When Umesh sir was at VCA, he had 30 under-16 boys under him. Today, 10 players from the pool of 30 boys have been a part of India u-19 setup. His coaching style is unique and special," said Bansod.
Patwal, who has seen promising allrounder Harsh Dubey and opener Aman Mokhade closely, rates them high.
"They both have worked really hard and are smart. You can see the results they have produced this season. This reflects there is something special about them," Patwal added.
Patwal imparted 6-7 hours of coaching from May 15. He will leave on Sunday. Patwal is head coach of iThink Sportz Cricket Academy in Mumbai.
