'Tambe won't be allowed to play in IPL'

As has been speculated in the past, Mumbai's veteran leg-spinner Pravin Tambe will not be able to play in the IPL, as he has already played in a T10 league in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

MUMBAI: As has been speculated in the past, Mumbai's veteran leg-spinner Pravin Tambe will not be able to play in the IPL, as he has already played in a T10 league in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
"As per Board policy, only retired players can take part in overseas leagues," a source confirmed to TOI on Sunday.
The 48-year-old Tambe had become the oldest player to be bought at the IPL auction in December when the Kolkata Knight Riders purchased him at his base price of Rs 20 lakh.
