NEW DELHI: Former India captain
Sourav Ganguly told
BCCI ethics officer
DK Jain
on Saturday that he is not being paid by
Delhi Capitals
for his advisory role and hence claimed that there is no conflict of interest in his case.

Cricket Advisory Committee
(CAC). Hence, he should not be disallowed from continuing in his advisory role with Delhi Capitals, whose promoters, JSW, are close friends of Ganguly.
It is learnt that the board’s ethics officer, along with other BCCI legal experts, is exploring if ‘Ganguly’s interest’ could still be treated as a possible conflict even though money is not part of it.
The issue is Ganguly being a CAC member and DC’s advisor. To this, Ganguly said that his role as the DC advisor isn’t clashing with his role in the CAC.
The CAC is due to pick the next Indian coach after the 2019 World Cup in England.
The conflict of interest in the BCCI is the main reason behind Justice (retd) RM Lodha Committee’s administrative reforms coming into existence.
