HYDERABAD: Dashing batsman-wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant may have missed the World Cup bus but senior pro Colin Munro said that youngsters like him are a must for T20 cricket as they play with absolute freedom and without fear. Munro, who made a 24-ball 40 and gave Delhi Capitals the initial thrust against SRH, was all praise for Shreyas Iyer's leadership quality.

IPL SCHEDULE | IPL POINTS TABLEYouth is the mantra

Just seeing the young guys in our team playing with absolute freedom, no fear and with clarity is great. You look at Rishabh (Pant) who just knows his game. Whether he is going in at No.4, 5, or 6, he's got to play the same way. We need such players in the T20 format to take the ball by the horns and he showed that. The good thing about our team is that we have experienced internationals and Indians like Shikhar (Dhawan), Axar (Patel) and even Ishant (Sharma).

Shreyas' progress as captain

Last year, he took it up half-way through the IPL. This season he has taken it with both hands. He is so young but is always eager to learn. Today he was speaking about fitness. He is working on all parts of his game and in captaincy he is getting stronger. With Ricky (Ponting) he is on good relations and if he learns well, he will be a good leader.
