NEW DELHI: England opener Jos Buttler, along with Indian players Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson, has joined the Rajasthan Royals camp in preparation for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
With the tournament just a week away, the Royals aim to build on their strong performance from the previous season, where they narrowly missed out on the title, ultimately losing in the final to the Gujarat Titans in the season before.
The team will be eager to continue their high-flying form and make a strong bid for the IPL championship in the upcoming season.
RR took to X to announce the arrival of their skipper Samson and the star duo of Chahal and Buttler.
"Let the fun begin", RR captioned Samson's arrival post.
"Darr ka mahol hai Welcome, @yuzi_chahal bhai," RR wrote on X while announcing Chahal's arrival.
"Jos is here," RR captioned the post of Buttler's arrival.
Ahead of the new season, the Royals unveiled their 'Pink Promise' jersey, which will be worn during their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 6. The jersey is dedicated to the "empowered women of Rajasthan and the nation."
The bandhani pattern on the jersey represents the traditional tie-dying art of Rajasthan attire for women. Additionally, the jersey features visual representations of solar panels, symbolising a source of clean energy provided to rural Rajasthan women.
In the IPL 2024 auction, the Rajasthan Royals strengthened their squad by acquiring players such as Rovman Powell, Shubham Dubey, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Abid Mushtaq, and Nandre Burger. With these additions, the team aims to bolster its lineup and make a strong impact in the upcoming season.
