Kolkata Knight Riders handed Chennai Super Kings a thumping eight-wicket loss at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, hunting down a modest 104-run target in just 10.1 overs (61 balls) — marking their second-biggest win in IPL history in terms of balls remaining.Invited to bat first, CSK endured a horror show with the bat on their home turf, crawling to 103/9 in 20 overs. It was their lowest-ever total at Chepauk and the third-lowest in their IPL journey. This also stands as the lowest total by any team in the 2025 edition so far.

CSK have lost five matches in a row for the first time in IPL history. To make matters worse, Friday’s loss to KKR was also their third consecutive defeat at Chepauk — marking the first time they’ve suffered three back-to-back home losses in the league.
