MUMBAI: Former Team India physiotherapist Patrick Farhart on Wednesday joined the Lucknow Super Giants franchise as its Global Head of Science & Medicine, which means that he will look after LSG's various teams across the globe."I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Global head of Medicine and Science at RPSG Sports Private Limited," Farhart posted on his LinkedIn platform.

Farhart is set to join the franchise with Durban Super Giants in SA20, which will kick off on Dec 26. RPSG Sports had posted earlier on the platform that "the purpose of this role is to establish and maintain world class standards in athlete performance, health, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, continuing professional development and scientific innovation for sports medicine and sports science staff attached to RPSG Sport teams, including Lucknow Super Giants (IPL), Manchester Originals (The Hundred), Durban Super Giants (SA20) and Mohun Bagan SG (ISL)."This will be Farhart's fourth stint with an IPL team-he has previously worked with Delhi Capitals (from 2020 till recently), Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab. The Australian was with Team India between 2015-19 (till the 2019 World Cup). Meanwhile, after Farhart's departure, DC has begun the hunt for a Global head of Physiotherapy for the franchise.
