MUMBAI: The BCCI has announced the dates for the next three IPL seasons, officially communicating the timelines to the franchises on Friday morning, just a couple of days ahead of the IPL auction in Jeddah on Sunday and Monday. The IPL-2025 season is slated to run from March 14 to May 25. IPL-2026 will run from March 15 to May 31, while IPL-2027 will be held from March 14 to May 30.

In the past, IPL officials have waited until the last minute to release the dates. The start time of the IPL auction on Nov 24 and 25 has also been pushed to 3.30 pm at the request of the broadcaster to ensure it doesn’t clash with the Perth Test.

Archer, Netravalkar added to auction list

Meanwhile, the BCCI has added Barbados-born English paceman Jofra Archer, who will now be available for the season, to the auction list, along with US left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar and Mumbai wicketkeeper-batter Hardik Tamore.

Archer's base price is Rs 2 cr, while Netravalkar, who performed well for the US in the 2024 T20 World Cup (six wickets in six matches at an economy rate of 6.63), and Tamore's base price is Rs 30 lakh. “The lowest base price of a player has been raised from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh now,” a source told TOI. Tamore has played 23 white-ball games (13 List A and 10 T20s) in domestic cricket.

Archer could have been in the marquee players' set had his availability been known earlier. However, he has now been listed as player No 575 in the auction register, while Netravalkar will be player No 576 and Tamore will be player No 577.
