"Yes, Nitish Kumar Reddy is now fit again, having recovered from a side strain. He cleared the yo-yo test at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru today morning with a score of 18.1," a source said.

The Sunrisers' first match in IPL-2025 will be on March 23 (Sunday) against Rajasthan Royals -- a 3.30 pm encounter at Hyderabad.

Nitish, who scored a hundred against Australia in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar series, was ruled out of the final three T20Is against England at home due to a side strain.

The 21-year-old has been out of action since.

He was picked for the Indian team last year after an impressive performance in IPL-2024, in which he scored 303 runs in 13 matches at an average of 33.66. It also included two fifties. With the bowling arm, he racked up three wickets at an average of 51.00.
