Along with Vijay Dahiya (assistant coach), Pravin Tambe (spin-bowling coach), Morne Morkel (fast-bowling coach), and Jonty Rhodes (fielding coach), he would be working with head coach Justin Langer and mentor Gautam Gambhir.

Sriram assisted Bangladesh last year during the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia by serving as their technical consultant.

He had previously spent six years, starting in 2016, working with the Australian team, which helped the team win the T20 World Cup and the Ashes in 2021-2022.

He previously worked with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL as the team's assistant coach, primarily assisting with batting and spin-bowling.

In 2008, Sriram also earned his ECB Level-3 "Head Coach" certification.
