Virat Kohli’s young lookalike has opened up about his memorable encounter with the Indian batting icon after their interaction took social media by storm. Ahead of the first ODI between India and New Zealand, Kohli lit up Vadodara with a heartwarming moment involving the pint-sized fan who bears a striking resemblance to the former India captain.


The 37-year-old superstar was preparing at the BCA Stadium when he paused his training session to acknowledge fans waiting eagerly for a glimpse of him.




Among the crowd was a young boy whose sharp eyes, jawline and overall vibe reminded many of a young Kohli.

Nicknamed ‘Mini Virat’ by fans online, the youngster instantly caught Kohli’s attention.

With a broad smile, Kohli posed for pictures with the boy, shared a few laughs and even recreated his trademark fist-pump alongside him.

Videos and photos of the interaction quickly went viral, racking up millions of views across social media platforms.

Kohli had arrived in Vadodara on January 7 amid huge fanfare and embraced the chaos before heading into net sessions, but this particular moment stood out.

The internet was quick to spot the resemblance between the two, triggering a wave of memes and discussions. Kohli himself appeared amused, smiling warmly as he interacted with the youngster and posed for photographs.

Now, the young fan has spoken about the experience, revealing how he also got to spend time with several India players.



Speaking to the media, the boy said he admires Virat Kohli’s “style and aura” and described the moment when the star first noticed him.

"Maine ekbar unka naam liya. Meri taraf dekha and Hi kaarke bola ki 'thodi der me aata hoon'. Virat Kohli fir Rohit Sharma se bol raha tha ki 'oye udhar dekh mera duplicate baitha hai', Chhota chiku bol raha tha. (I called with his name once and after saying Hi, Kohli told me that he is coming to meet in a moment. Then he turned to Rohit Sharma and said 'look my duplicate his sitting there'. They were calling me Chhota Chiku)," the kid said.
