I would have batted first. Looks a good pitch, big game, put runs on the board. It's going to be amazing, everytime we play here, the crowd come out in large numbers. The biggest occasion in the cricketing event. We have to stay nice and calm. It's a dream come true to be captaining the team in the final. I know what lies in front of us. We need to play well and get the result. You got to make the right decisions on the field. That's something we've done consistently in the last 10 games. We are playing the same team.
We are gonna have a bowl first. Looks like a dry wicket. Dew is a factor. It gets better to bat on. Tough start to the tournament, haven't really put a foot wrong ever since. It's all set up perfectly. We've played these guys a lot. Same team as the semi-final.
Australia are peaking at the right time. India, whilst favourites, have all the expectations on them. They will be nervous. It's their World Cup to lose.

03:03They're mentally strong because they're excellently prepared, have got great skills, are in form, have a great team culture. And when you add all of those ingredients, it leaves you in a very good mental space, and they'll go into the final full of confidence.

03:46For Rahul Dravid to agree and give me that freedom and liberty to play the way we want to play, says a lot about him. I also appreciate the way he stood by players in difficult times where during the T20 World Cup, we had a good run until that semifinal and lost and how he reacted to certain situations and informed players about this is what we are looking at, says a lot about him. What he has done for Indian cricket is massive. And he also feels that he wants to be part of this big occasion. It's for us to do it for him.
