Mohammed Siraj's classy reply to Asaduddin Owaisi's viral 'poora khol' comment
NEW DELHI: India secured a thrilling six-run win over England in the fifth and final Test at The Oval, levelling the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 2-2. The standout performer was Hyderabad pacer Mohammed Siraj, whose brilliant five-wicket haul in the second innings proved decisive in turning the match in India's favour.
Siraj’s heroics drew praise from AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who celebrated his fellow Hyderabadi’s match-winning effort on social media.

“Always a winner @mdsirajofficial! As we say in Hyderabadi, poora khol diye Pasha!” Owaisi posted on X, applauding the pacer's match-winning spell.
To this, Siraj — who returned to India on Wednesday — replied to the post: "Thank you so much sir. Always cheering for me."
Siraj ended the five-match series with 23 wickets and was named Player of the Match for his impactful showing in the final Test in London.
Known for his journey from humble beginnings, the 31-year-old has firmly established himself as a dependable force across formats.
This series also marked a new era for Indian cricket, with Shubman Gill stepping up as captain after the Test retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Gill shone both as a leader and a batter, earning the Player of the Series award for his record-breaking performances.
The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, named in honour of Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson, has replaced the former Pataudi and Anthony de Mello trophies.
