Rishabh Pant brought his usual dose of chaos to Edgbaston on Saturday as India took firm control of the second Test against England. During a wild morning session, Pant played a pull shot, missed it completely, and lost grip of his bat. It flew nearly 20 metres into the leg side and landed harmlessly, narrowly missing the fielders as laughter broke out on the field and in the stands.LIVE Score: India vs England 2nd Test Day 4 By lunch on Day 4, India had reached 177 for 3, building their lead to 357 runs. Pant was unbeaten on 41 while captain Shubman Gill was steady at 24. Earlier, India lost KL Rahul for 55 and Karun Nair for 26. Pant walked in after Rahul was bowled by a sharp delivery from Josh Tongue and he wasted no time to get going. On just his fourth ball, he stepped out and smashed Tongue for a six straight down the ground. Moments later, he offered a simple chance to Zak Crawley at mid-on but was dropped.The drama didn’t end there, in the next over from Tongue, Pant lost control of his bat during a pull and then sent a leading edge to Chris Woakes, who also couldn’t hold on. Pant has kept the pressure on England, adding five boundaries and two sixes in his knock. His fearless approach has been a feature throughout this series. In the first Test, he scored centuries in both innings but India still fell short. Now, with a commanding lead and Pant still at the crease, India are in a strong position to level the five-match series.
