KL Rahul said he was proud to contribute with a crucial hundred at Lord’s on Saturday, calling it a “very special” moment in his career. The Indian opener scored a composed 100 on Day 3 of the third Test against England, helping his side match the hosts’ first innings total of 387.
After the game, the BCCI shared a video where Rahul reflected on his innings and what it meant to score at the iconic venue.

This was Rahul’s second Test century at Lord’s. He had earlier scored a memorable hundred during India’s 2021 tour of England. This time, he stood firm once again on a challenging pitch, blending caution with his trademark timing.
“Everything about Lord’s makes it that much more special. The legacy, the history. Every time you walk into Lord’s, you are reminded of the legacy and history of cricket,” Rahul added.
Rahul shared key partnerships with Rishabh Pant as India patiently built their innings. His calm presence at the crease allowed others to bat around him as India matched England run for run.
With the Test still finely poised, Rahul’s knock has given India the platform they needed in this high-stakes battle.
