4th T20I: Glenn Maxwell, Josh Inglis, Cameron Green star as Australia take 4-0 lead over West Indies
Cameron Green’s composed unbeaten 55 and Josh Inglis’ brisk 51 helped Australia secure a tense three-wicket win over West Indies in the fourth T20I on Saturday, sealing a 4-0 lead in the five-match series. The visitors will now look to complete a series sweep in Monday’s final match at Warner Park, St Kitts.
After winning the toss and opting to field, Australia restricted West Indies to 205/9.

The hosts lost momentum in the second half of their innings, with five wickets falling after the 10-over mark. Sherfane Rutherford (31), Romario Shepherd (28), and Rovman Powell (28) contributed valuable runs, but Australia's fielding and sharp catching kept them in check. Adam Zampa picked up 3/54, while Xavier Bartlett and Sean Abbott chipped in with a wicket each.
In reply, Australia’s chase began on a shaky note as captain Mitchell Marsh was dismissed lbw for a second-ball duck by debutant Jediah Blades.
Inglis steadied the innings with an aggressive 51 off 30 balls (10 fours, one six), while Glenn Maxwell smashed 47 from just 18 balls, including six sixes and a four.
Maxwell’s dismissal right after the drinks break triggered a middle-order wobble. Blades impressed on debut, removing Mitchell Owen (2) and Cooper Connolly (0) in quick succession, finishing with three wickets. Jason Holder and Shepherd also struck at crucial moments to keep Australia under pressure.
Australia were 204/7 when a deflection off Shepherd’s hand ran out Xavier Bartlett at the non-striker’s end. Green, however, held his nerve, adding the final runs and finishing unbeaten on 55 off 35 balls (three fours, three sixes). Sean Abbott sealed the win with a single, with four balls remaining.
Earlier, Australia’s fielding was a standout. Maxwell pulled off two stunning catches and contributed with the ball, while Green and Hardie were sharp in the outfield. Rain interrupted play late in the West Indies innings, but after a 55-minute delay, the hosts added two more runs to finish on 205.
The fifth and final T20I will be played on Monday.
