NEW DELHI: Ravindra Jadeja was at his absolute best on the field as he took a one-handed blinder to dismiss Neil Wagner in the second session on Day 2 of the Christchurch Test.
Jadeja took the miraculous catch in the 72nd over when Wagner pulled a Mohammed Shami bouncer to the square-leg region.
Jadeja, in the deep, initially slightly over-ran as the ball came in with the wind but then instinctively put his left hand out to pluck the ball mid-air.

Celebrating the catch, Jadeja then raised both his hands up casually as his teammates ran towards him to congratulate.
Wagner, at the striker's end was in total disbelief after looking at the stupendous effort from Jadeja in the outfield.
The Twitterverse was also in awe of the breathtaking catch Jadeja pulled off out of nowhere.

"I was expecting him (Wagner) to score towards deep square leg. But I didn't expect the ball to come at that pace. It came so quickly with the wind and I just stuck my hand out. I didn't even realise when I took the catch," Jadeja said at the innings break.
India dismissed New Zealand for 235 at tea on Day 2, taking a slender 7-run first innings lead.
