MUMBAI: Indian captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain KL Rahul on Friday trained at the Mumbai Cricket Association's BKC indoor academy to prepare for the upcoming Bangladesh tour.
"They practiced at BKC between 10 to 11 am today," a source told TOI.
Both the senior openers were under fire after an ordinary outing at the recently-held T20 World Cup in Australia, where India lost to England in the semifinals by 10 wickets. While all Rohit managed was 116 runs in 6 matches@19.33, Rahul scored 128 runs in 6 games@21.33. This has led to a question mark on their places in India's T20 side, though both are part of ODI and Test teams for the Bangladesh tour.
Rohit, Rahul, Virat Kohli and the other senior players are likely to depart for the Bangladesh tour on December 1, where they'll be joined by their teammates arriving from New Zealand. India play their first ODI against Bangladesh at Dhaka on December 4.
Rohit has been training at BKC's gym too.
