The BCCI shared an emotional video on their X handle, capturing the moment Reddy's parents embraced their son in a mix of joy and disbelief, the emotional scene reflected the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and dreams realised on the grand stage.

A decade ago, when his father Muthyala left a stable job to start a micro-finance business and faced financial setbacks, the Reddy family was advised to discourage young Reddy's cricketing aspirations. However, they remained steadfast and unwavering in their support.
