CHENNAI: Ever since India started touring Australia in 1947, they could never dominate proceedings Down Under. They have won only five and drawn 11 out of 44 Test matches they have played in Australia. However, things could change quite easily considering the turmoil the Australian team is in at the moment. There is an unsettled look in the Australian team in the aftermath of the ball-tampering scandal and former Australia captain Michael Clarke feels that this could be the perfect opportunity for Virat Kohli’s boys to dominate proceedings. “Both teams are looking to win but India is in some great form and in my opinion it’s India’s first opportunity to dominate Australia in their own backyard,” Clarke told TOI in an exclusive interaction facilitated by Sony, the official broadcasters of the series.Clarke is part of the panellists on the show that include Sunil Gavaskar, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Mark Butcher, Nick Knight, Dominic Cork, Murali Kartik, Sanjay Manjrekar, Mohammad Kaif, Harsha Bhogle, Gaurav Kapur, Deep Dasgupta and Vivek Razdan.Clarke also feels that this could be India’s big chance to notch up their maiden Test series win in Australia. “This is a huge chance for Virat Kolhi and Co to win for the first time in Australia,” Clarke said.
