Southee produces a jaffa | Kohli clueless
That was an absolute peach of a delivery from Tim Southee. Comes back into the attack and is right on the money second-ball. Angled in delivery from over-the-stumps and it moves away after pitching, just missing the outside edge of Kohli's bat. The India skipper appreciates the ball and the bowler. IND 106/3 after 49.2 overs.

Pacers keep the pressure on
Another tight over from Kyle Jamieson. A maiden!!! That was Jamieson's seventh maiden in 11 overs. Conditions really favouring the New Zealand pacers at the moment. Swing in the air and even after pitching for the likes of Trent Boult and Jamieson. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane putting on a brave fight. IND 95/3 after 46 overs

Drinks Break
An hour post Lunch completed on Day 2 and New Zealand take the edge with Cheteshwar Pujara (8) wicket. Some exceptional bowling display from the Blackcaps pacers, testing Virat Kohli (18*) and Ajinkya Rahane (4*) to their limits in overcast conditions. IND 93/3 after 44 overs.

Kohli survives a caught behind appeal!!!
Well, well, well!!! That was really close. A huge caught behind appeal from Trent Boult and co. He thought Virat Kohli had edged it to the wicket-keeper down the leg side. The on-field umpires go to the third umpire for a second look. However, the Ultra-edge confirms that there was no bat involved and it just missed the edge. Kohli survives!!!

Boult strikes | Pujara gone!!!
OUT! A classic Trent Boult in-swinger and Cheteshwar Pujara is caught napping. That was a perfect delivery from Boult from over the wicket. Nasty one from Wagner | Pujara hit but OK
That was a superb delivery from Neil Wagner. The ball goes right into the grill of Cheteshwar Pujara as he misses the pull shot. The protective cushion at the back of the helmet goes off flying. Thankfully it did not hit the stumps. Pujara, on the other hand, looks just fine. IND 78/2 after 36.1 overs.

Pujara gets going!!!

Beautiful delivery from De Grandhomme
A cracking away-swinger from middle stump line from Colin de Grandhomme to finish the over. Completely beats Virat Kohli as the ball hits his back leg. The New Zealand camp goes straight up but umpire rules not-out. New Zealand don't go for the review as height was a big factor in it. Another maiden from De Grandhomme. IND 70/2

Day 2 Session 1 in a nutshell!!!
Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill batted courageously for more than 90 minutes to deny New Zealand any success in favorable bowling conditions but Kane Williamson and Co. snapped up the duo just in time to put India back under the pump in the morning session on Day 2 of the WTC Final. At Lunch, India got to 69 for 2 with skipper Virat Kohli (6*) and Cheteshwar Pujara (0*) at the crease and overcast conditions still pretty much creating troubles for the batsmen. After the opening day of the WTC Final was completely rained out, Blackcaps skipper Williamson had no hesitation in opting to bowl after winning the toss. But the New Zealand pacers were off the radar at the start as Rohit and Gill dug in. Kyle Jamieson eventually got rid of Rohit for 34 with Tim Southee pulling off a ripper at third slip. Shubman then followed him soon, edging a Neil Wagner delivery straight to the keeper. The Indian players are also wearing black armbands today in memory of legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh, who died aged 91 in early hours on Saturday.
