Women's World Cup final: What is India's record against South Africa in ODIs?

The two World Cup finalists last met on October 9 in the tournament's league stage, where South Africa won by three wickets. India's journey to the final hasn't been smooth sailing. They finished fourth in the league phase, losing three games in a row including one to South Africa. However, they stunned everyone by chasing down a record 339 runs against Australia in the semifinals.
South Africa's campaign has been equally impressive. Despite losing to Australia and England in the league phase, they finished third and dominated England in the semifinals with a 125-run victory.

Their captain Laura Wolvaardt leads the tournament's run-scoring charts, while Marizanne Kapp, who recently became the all-time highest wicket-taker in Women's World Cup history with 44 wickets, has been exceptional with the ball.

For India, this represents a third shot at World Cup glory, while South Africa aims to make history in their first-ever final appearance after previous semifinal exits in 2017 and 2022.
