Women's ODI batting rankings: Smriti Mandhana holds top spot; no other Indian batter in top 15
India’s Smriti Mandhana continues to reign supreme at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings, holding her position despite strong performances from several competitors during the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Mandhana, who began the tournament as the No.1 ranked ODI batter, has maintained her lead through consistent starts and her record over the past year. Even as others around her climbed the charts with big scores, the Indian opener’s advantage remains intact, showing her steady form and dominance in the format.

South Africa’s Tazmin Brits was among the biggest movers this week after her century against New Zealand lifted her two places to fourth, marking a career-high ranking. Australia’s Ash Gardner also made significant progress, jumping seven spots to fifth after her match-winning hundred earlier in the tournament.
Notably, no other Indian batter made it to the top 15, with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who was initially 14th, dropped two places in the latest rankings. However, Deepti Sharma climbed a spot to reach 17th position.
New Zealand captain Sophie Devine and Pakistan opener Sidra Amin also found themselves in the top ten following strong World Cup performances. Devine climbed seven spots to eighth, while Amin rose three places to join the top 10, both reaching their best-ever ratings.
While Mandhana’s challengers have made notable gains, the 29-year-old Indian star has managed to stay clear at the top, underlining her consistency and value to the Indian batting unit. Her skill has been key for India in the early stages of the competition, where she has provided stability at the top of the order.
In the bowling charts, England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead, with minor shifts behind her. South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp and Australia’s Alana King gained a position each to sit fifth and seventh respectively. Outside the top 10, South Africa spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba and Australia pacer Annabel Sutherland made noticeable jumps to new career highs.
Among all-rounders, Ash Gardner strengthened her grip on the top spot with a new career-best rating after her exploits against New Zealand. Teammate Kim Garth climbed to 18th, while Sophie Devine’s all-round form pushed her to ninth.
For now, though, Smriti Mandhana’s hold at the top of the ODI batting rankings remains unshaken, with matches to come against South Africa, Australia and England setting the stage for her to show just why she deserves top spot.
Moreover, Mandhana has been listed alongside centurion Tazmin Brits and Pakistan's Sidra Amin for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September.
