India beat Australia by 36 runs to set up summit clash with hosts England on Sunday. Chasing a massive 282-run target in a rain-curtailed 42-overs-a-side, Australia were bowled out for 245 in 40.1 overs as India registered a comprehensive win. Alex Blackwell (90 off 56 balls) and Elyse Villani (75 off 58 balls) hit quick-fire fifties but the target turned out to be too much for the defending champions. Deepti Sharma (3/59) took three wickets while pacers Jhulan Goswami (2/35) and Shikha Pandey (2/17) scalped two wickets each for India. Earlier, riding on Harmanpreet Kaur's majestic 171 not out India posted 281/4 in their 42 overs. Kaur smacked as many as seven sixes and 20 fours in her career-best 115-ball knock, which turned out to be a match-winning effort.

The scoring rate isn't too impressive but the good news is that India haven't lost a wicket after losing their openers within the first 10 overs. Mithali and Harmanpreet have so far added 35 runs for the third wicket.

The Indian score has gone past the 50-run mark. Captain Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur are currently steering the ship.

Indian openers showed intent but faded quickly. Both departed within the first 10 overs after showing early promise. Both big wickets - rising star Smriti Mandhana and Punam Raut who hit a century last time these two teams faced each other.
