NEW DELHI: Spinner Adam Zampa on Wednesday etched his name in the annals of Australian cricket history by becoming the first bowler from the nation to claim 100 wickets in T20 Internationals.

Zampa achieved this remarkable milestone during Australia's encounter against Namibia in the ongoing T20 World Cup at the iconic Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

In the match against Namibia, the 32-year-old leg-spinner showcased his prowess by dismissing four batsmen in the first innings, including Zane Green, David Wiese, Ruben Trumpelmann, and Bernard Scholtz.



Throughout his illustrious career in the shortest format of the game, Zampa has amassed an impressive tally of 100 wickets at an economical rate of 7.20, having played 83 matches and bowled in 82 innings.

Australia's pace spearhead, Mitchell Starc, occupies the second position on the list of leading Australian wicket-takers in T20Is, with 76 scalps to his name at an economy rate of 7.72, having represented his country in 62 matches.
