Lunar eclipse delays India practice in Mumbai
MUMBAI: The lunar eclipse on Tuesday delayed India’s evening practice session here by nearly 90 minutes.
“The team’s practice was scheduled from 6 pm to 9 pm, but with the eclipse starting at 3.20 pm and lasting until 6.47 pm, the session was delayed,” a source said.
The floodlights were switched on around 5.30pm to ensure full effect by the time the team took the nets.
However, once officials were informed of the revised schedule, the lights were turned off and later switched on again around 7 pm. The Indian team eventually began training at approximately 7.30 pm.
