Ireland suffered a eight-wicket loss to India earlier in the week, while Canada were overwhelmed by an enthusiastic USA team in a high-scoring game at Dallas, losing by seven wickets.
In preparation for the encounter, the groundskeepers have removed extra grass from the pitch and compressed it thoroughly to favor the batsmen. However, some movement off the surface is still anticipated.
