‘Always believed in miracles’: How Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah and India’s stars celebrated T20 World Cup triumph
Players from the India took to social media to celebrate their 2026 T20 World Cup victory.
The team, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Stars like Sryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Ishan Kishan, and Tilak Varma shared their joy and pride through posts online.
With this win, India became the first team to win the T20 World Cup at home, the first team to win back-to-back titles (after 2024), and the first team to win the tournament three times (2007, 2024, 2026).
On X, the Indian T20I captain shared a throwback photo from 2014 alongside a picture with the 2026 T20 World Cup trophy, writing, "So happy for this guy today."
Tilak Varma shared his excitement on Instagram after India won the 2026 T20 World Cup. In his post, he wrote, "World Champions. My childhood dreams have come true! So proud to be part of this team and represent my country! Love this team, love you all – thanks for always having our back!"
