Sunrisers Hyderabad will be disappointed not just with their bowling performance, but also with their lapses in the field. Their new-ball bowlers struggled to find rhythm and failed to make early inroads. It was the spinner, Zeeshan Ansari, who finally broke through with the first wicket, and they had a chance to build on that, but a costly drop by Pat Cummins gave Jos Buttler a lifeline, which he capitalized on fully. To their credit, SRH did manage to claw things back in the death overs, with Jaydev Unadkat delivering a brilliant final over - just 12 runs and 3 wickets to wrest back some momentum. That said, chasing a target of over 220 is no small task, but given the firepower in their lineup and the fact that they've already hunted down 240-plus this season, they’ll fancy their chances. Sai Sudharsan is up for a quick chat. He receives the Orange Cap as he becomes the leading run scorer of the season, and the first batter to cross the 500-run mark. He says he tries to time the ball rather than hitting and smacking it, and is fortunate to get the results out of it. Says they are just trying to react to the situation and keep the strike rate up. Feels it is helping the team to get good scores. Says the wicket was a bit slow and low, but adds that the way Shubman Gill and he played with intent inside the Powerplay helped them to get a good foundation. Concludes by hoping that the bowlers will defend the total. 

The dynamic opening duo got the Titans off to another flying start, finding boundaries with ease during the Powerplay and racking up 82 runs in that phase to lay a solid foundation. Sai Sudharsan missed out on a half-century, but skipper Shubman Gill, who relishes batting on this ground, kept the innings going with a classy fifty. He was unfortunately run out for 76, but Jos Buttler picked up the baton, making the most of a reprieve to hammer a quickfire half-century of his own. In the final overs, Shahrukh Khan, Washington Sundar, and Rahul Tewatia chipped in with a few lusty blows to take the total past the 220-run mark.

Gujarat Titans have put on a fabulous batting show! It wasn’t just brute force, but a delightful blend of classical cricketing strokes and smart placement, finding the gaps effortlessly. That said, they’ll be mindful of their previous outing where even a 200-plus total wasn't enough. With a dangerous batting lineup to face, they’ll need to back this up with a disciplined bowling performance.

Strategic Break. It has been a tough night with the ball for SRH so far as Gujarat Titans are off to a mammoth total already. They did get Gill out off a run out, but Jos Buttler is well settled and is ready to launch his offensive. Only a couple of quick wickets will stem the flow of runs. But to be fair, the Sunrisers' bowlers have looked a bit defensive in their bowling approach, and some sloppy fielding occasions have only multiplied their tensions. And just for your information, 196 is the lowest first inning total in Ahmedabad this season, in four matches so far. On the other three occasions, the teams batting first have scored more than 200, and GT are in a perfect position to do so. Here's Pat Cummins back into the attack now.
