Buttler achieved the feat on his way to a quick 30-ball 45 in the second India vs England T20I at the Chepauk in Chennai.

Buttler, who had 147 sixes to his name before the second game, hit Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi for a maximum each to get to the 150 mark.

The England skipper is now the fourth batsman ever to get to the 150-six mark in T20Is.

Only Rohit Sharma (205 sixes), Martin Guptill (173) and UAE's Muhammad Waseem (158) are ahead of him on the list.

After hitting a quickfire 45 that came at a strike-rate of 150, Buttler fell to Axar Patel in the 10th over.

Earlier, India skipper Suryakumar Kumar won the toss and elected to field first.

India, who are 1-0 up in the five-match series, made two changes due to injuries, with Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel coming in for Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh.

Buttler-led England also made two changes with debutant Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse coming in for "unwell" Jacob Bethell and Gus Atkinson.
