"A heartfelt thank you to cricket fans across India, and to @indiancricketteam’s captain @rohitsharma45 and @englandcricket skipper @josbuttler for coming together to amplify the message of ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives,’" Shah shared in a social media post.

Shah further revealed that the initiative gained significant momentum, with 22,482 pledges made in support of organ donation. "Proud to share that we’ve crossed 22,482 pledges—a testament to the power of sport in driving real change. Together, we can make a difference! #DonateOrgansSaveLives," he stated.

The announcement of the teams’ involvement was made via Shah’s official handle on X (formerly Twitter), where he encouraged people to pledge organ donations to help those in need.

“Sport has the power to inspire, unite, and create lasting impact beyond the field. Through this initiative, we urge everyone to take a step towards giving the greatest gift of all – the gift of life," Shah added.

"One pledge, one decision, can save multiple lives. Let’s come together and make a difference!" he concluded.

As part of the campaign, both teams gathered before the third ODI to promote awareness and encourage pledges. On the field, India dominated England with a 142-run victory, powered by a century from Shubman Gill and half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli.
