Shane Warne is currently in search of an England jersey. Why, you ask? Because the former legspinner lost a bet to Sourav Ganguly based on the England-Australia Champions Trophy Group A match and now has to stick to his word of wearing an

England jersey

for an entire day.

The backstory dates back to a conclave where former Australia batsman and captain Michael Clarke, during a conclave in London, tipped Australia to be one of the finalists for the Champions Trophy. But Ganguly insisted that England were a better team and had a higher chance of doing so.

Warne then joined the conversation and placed a bet, stating that if England were to beat Australia, the second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket will not only spend a day wearing an England jersey and even buy Ganguly dinner. If it were the other way around, the fomer Indian skipper will buy Warne dinner and would have to wear an Australian jersey.

But as it turned out, England beat Australia by 40 runs to send them packing from the Champions Trophy and book themselves a place in the semi-final where they face Pakistan.

".@SGanguly99 You win our bet mate. I will find an England shirt and wear it all day !", Warne tweeted.

Warne then sent out another tweet saying that he will soon share a picture of him wearing a Three Lions jersey. It read: ".@SGanguly99 Trying to get an England ODI shirt sent to me so I can wear it in honour of our bet. Will tweet a picture asap ! #CT17"
