NEW DELHI: Bangladesh will hope to make an impact at the upcoming
ICC Champions Trophy to be held in England from June 1-18, having never managed to make it past the league stage in three prior trips to the tournament.
The team last participated in the
Champions Trophy in 2006 when it was held in India, when it was knocked out in the qualifying round after losing to Sri Lanka and West Indies. Their 15-man squad sees pace bowler Shafiul Islam return from injury, otherwise there are no surprise inclusions.
Mashrafe Mortaza’s squad is playing a tri-series with Ireland and New Zealand, after which it will travel to Sussex for a conditioning camp.
