Bangladesh chose to bowl first, and it was Mahmud who made an impact with his three-wicket haul for just 14 runs in seven overs. Rohit Sharma was the first to fall, edging a tight delivery to second slip. Shubman Gill was caught behind soon after, and Virat Kohli followed, edging a delivery to wicketkeeper Litton Das.

Scorecard: India vs Bangladesh

India found themselves struggling at 34 for three inside the first 10 overs. However, Jaiswal and Pant began to stabilize the innings with their counter-attacking play. Despite some initial nervous moments, they managed to hit some impressive shots.

Jaiswal played with classic technique, hitting boundaries off Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Meanwhile, Pant showcased his timing and power, especially with a standout square cut off Nahid Rana. The only scare for Pant came when Shadman Islam dropped his edge at first slip off Taskin's bowling.

As the session closed, Jaiswal and Pant remained at the crease with India recovering to 88 for three.
