MUMBAI: In a major development,
BCCI president
Roger Binny and vice-president Rajiv Shukla will travel to
Pakistan to watch an
Asia Cup match in the first week of September, TOI has learnt.
In the past, the Pakistan Cricket Board had twice invited BCCI secretary
Jay Shah to watch the opening match of the Asia Cup, between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan on August 30. However, Shah is not believed to be going to Pakistan.
Besides Shah, the PCB has also invited heads of other boards who are part of the Asian Cricket Council for the opening match.
The Asia Cup 2023 will be held from August 30 to September 17 across Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India are playing all their matches in Sri Lanka.
