Sivasubramanian claims NDCA Weekend Rapid Chess crown

NAGPUR: R Sivasubramanian reigned supreme in the 12th NDCA Weekend Rapid Chess tournament which concluded at the NIT Recreation Centre, Surendra Nagar, on Monday.
After the fifth and final round, both Sivasubramanian and Divya Deshmukh finished with 4.5 points each but on the basis of better tie-break scores, latter was adjudged champion.
RESULTS (Round 5): Divya Deshmukh (4.5) bt Mrudul Dehankar (4), Vinay Barhanpure (3) lost to R Sivasubramanian (4.5), Nitin Ramteke (2.5) lost to Devansh Ratti (4), V Ramachandran (3.5) bt Spandan Seth (2.5), Prasad Seth (3) bt Amey Tarankanthiwar (2.5).
