Grandmaster Pantsulaia Levan of Georgia continues his winning spree

RAIPUR: Grandmaster Pantsulaia Levan of Georgia continued his winning spree defeating grandmaster Mitrabha Guha after the sixth round of the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister's Trophy underway at Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh.

The game between grandmaster Laxman and international master Arnyak, Ajay Karthikeyan and Neelesh Saha, grandmaster Deepan Chakravarthy and international master S Nitin, international master Gusain Himal and international master Tanbaz Araz ended in a draw.

Young Mayank Chakravarthy of Assam outwitted the Tamil Nadu star Ilamparithi in the Alekhine's defence. Mayank sacrificed the exchange and got an overwhelming attack and clinched the win in 48 moves.

International master VAV Rajesh of India adopting greenfield defence defeated Polish grandmaster Michael Krasenkow in the rook and knight vs rook and bishop ending in 45 moves.
