NAGPUR: Top seed and hot favourite for the title Dilip Pagay has jumped to sole lead with six points at the end of the sixth round in the second Veterans Chess tournament at the Nagpur District Chess Association Hall, Surendra Nagar, on Saturday.
Pagay overcame TS Patil in Round 6 to record his sixth successive victory.
V Ramachandran, who beat overnight joint leader Pramod Ramteke on the second board, is in second spot with 4.5 points.

On Sunday, the seventh and final round will start at 9 am, while the prize distribution function will be held at 1.30 pm.

Dilip Pagay (6) bt TS Patil (3.5), Pramod Ramteke (4) lost to V Ramachandran (4.5), VK Shrivastava (4) bt T Chandran (3), Vinay Barhanpure (3) drew with Sanjay Guha (3.5), Yashwant Shamkuwar (2.5) lost to Anzar Ahmad Khan (3), Bhimmandas Kewalramani (2) lost to BC Borkar (3), Shashank Kohle (2) bt SA Pathan (2).
