MUMBAI: Tongan national Unaine Fa Junior became the toast of Mumbai Fighters as he stunned favourite, Moscow Dynamo's Arslanbek Makhumudov, beating him 3-0 to take consolation from a battle that was already lost with the fourth bout.
Moscow won the second, third and fourth bouts to win the contest but Unaine stole Makhmudov's thunder.
Makhmudov is known for his knockouts but Unaine kept away from the Russian's thunderous right.

By the fourth round, the Russian was so tired that it was evident than the Tongan would win.
It was not the case with others though.
Leanid Charabayeu of Mumbai Fighters is a heavy punch, but his Dynamo opponent Vladimir Sheles, a south paw, kept an irritating right-hand at his face to avoid those dynamites. Meanwhile, he would sneak in the punches. Leanid was so frustrated with Vladimir that he did a judo drop on his opponent.
Dynamo's Maxim Gazizov, in the middleweight, was far too superior to Sanjen Pol. Maxim was like a machine - He could have gone throwing punches all day. A couple of uppercuts and a straight in the fifth round signified his clear domination over Sanjen, who started promisingly, using good footwork.

Adlan Abdurashidov in light-weight was smart. He knew Siddharth Varma's reach was good. He waded in and out of that, landed well in clinches and scored comfortably. He was easy winner with all the three judges voting in favour of the Russian.
In the Bantam weight, Gaurav Bidhuri was up against an aggressive Vladimir Nikitin. Bhadhuri was successful in distributing his energy through the 15-minute bout. Typically, he stung Nikitin more in the last three rounds with his combinations and then let the Russian tire out. The Russian corner was miffed with the verdict.
