Chanda, Pavitra, Arti notch up gold in jr women national championship

PATNA: Chanda of Maharashtra (40 kg) and Madhya Pradesh's Pavitra (42 kg) and Arti Yadav (44kg) bagged gold in the 4th Junior Women National Boxing championship at the Moinul Haq Stadium on Friday.
Bihar's Noori Parvin (40 kg) settled for silver, while Haryana's Sonia Kumari (42 kg) and Punjab's Lovejeet (44kg) also got silver medals.
Uttar Pradesh's Sivani and Kerala's Vinitha secured bronze medals in 40 kg events of the championship.
Similarly, Nagaland's Niko Jangla and Lakhi Sharma (Rajasthan) got bronze in 42 kg. UP's Ansuman and Uttrakhand's Neelam pocketed bronze medals in the 44 kg weight category.
