Saurabh Varma 21-6, 21-5 in the men's quarterfinal of the $15,000 Tata Open India International Challenge at NSCI, on Friday.
RMV Gurusaidutt brushed aside Aditya Prakash, while third seed Arvind Bhatt notched a win against Akshit Mahajan to book semis berth.
In the women's quarters, defending champion PC Thulasi got the better of Gayatri Vartak 21-10, 21-8, while second seed PV Sindhu polished off Mudra Dhainje 21-5, 21-8 to set up a semifinal clash with Hong Kong's third seed Chan Tse Ka.
