State-ranking badminton in Udupi

BANGALORE: The Udupi District Badminton Association will conduct 5-star state ranking badminton championships at Udupi indoor stadium from July 8 to 13.
The five-day meet is expected to attract top ranked players in the state. The competitions will be U-13, 15, 17, 19, men, women and veteran events spread in 14 categories.
As many as 600 shuttlers are likely to take part in the five-day meet which carries the highest prize money of Rs 1.9 lakh.Apart from the winners and runners-up of respective categories, the losing semifinalist too will be considered for the prize money.
