Saina-Sindhu rivalry good if it helps them: Gopichand

KOLKATA: Having been Saina Nehwal's coach until she parted ways to tie up with Vimal Kumar, Pullela Gopichand doesn't mind his current ward PV Sindhu being often compared with her senior compatriot.
Gopi also believes that the former world No. 1will get over her lean patch and regain her best form in the months ahead."Saina produced some very good performances over the years and I think she will come back strongly," he said.
But does he agree that there are cold vibes between world No.4 Sindhu and the ninth-ranked Saina? Not one to make politically incorrect statements, the soft-spoken Gopi tried his best to deflect the issue. "Is it a statement or a question," he said before pausing. "If it (rivalry) helps improve their performance, then it's good for them... I'm happy."
